First up, I wanna say this blog post is my opinion and might be a little harsh at times, despite the fact that I'm a fan of both Batman and Nolan. I will try in by best reaches to analyse crucial parts/events/characters of the movie and will be attempting to be as complete as I can with criticism, both good and bad.

The first blow - Bane and Tate
Powerful physically and strong mentally, sometimes Bane is the ultimate villain that one can get in comic books. One that can keep readers wanting to read more. But that is because they are comic books and readers are up for dramatic build ups and emotional meanderings of the story. TDKR isn't really the medium for such unnatural a villain as Bane, especially considering the predecessors of the movie. Bane seems to have little motivation to "destroy". His past is hardly known and his actions are based on the superficial reasoning of his "love" for Miranda Tate.
One of the most appalling scenes in the movie is when you hear Bane say "I'm going to poison the people of Gotham with hope". Well, however good the poison is, both Miranda and Bane seem to have lost vision of their plan, at least for a 100 odd days. The biggest question to ask is, why weren't they like Ra's Al Ghul in the first place? Why didn't they destroy Gotham when they got the chance?
Well, no answer can appease you once you know that the League of Shadows is an organization of execution and not that would torture society instead of punishing it in a flash.
The next blow - Logic
There are so many points of logical flaw. Let's start from the last, why on earth does batman lie when catwoman asks him about the autopilot plan? Fooling Gordon? Maybe.. But that's just one, slightly flawed point. There are an array of others:
The last blow - Dialogues
Something that Nolan has always given us.. Priceless dialogues.. Initially, there were a few, until they decided to bring the flashbacks in and the older dialogues. Come to think of it, it would actually make sense for Bruce to get inspired by the same old quotes. But a lack-lustre quality is seen at times, especially when Batman does the talking. Though I wouldn't count this to be a big disappointment, I've come to expect a lot from Nolan and the only quote I will remember from this movie if you wake me up in the middle of the night is "Deshe Bahsara" :D :D
"ENOUGH OF BLOWS THAT HURT!" You say? Okay, telling what's right about this movie:
MUSIC!!! ZIMMER is GOD!! Music in TDKR is par excellence. It builds, blows and brings life to the mediocre action on screen. There are some tracks which I've already listened to like a million times and am sure I will continue to do so.. Just like "Travelling the World" and "The cave" and "The chase" from the other movies.
Yes, even the fist fights are amazing if you see it with the music. I tried seeing it on mute and it's pretty lame and reminded me of a Lollu Sabha episode (Bakery where Vijay comes without BGM)
VFX, Cinematography and SFX As in the case of previous movies, TDKR has excelled in the fields of visual and sound effects. It's visually and audibly stunning!
PERFORMANCES are amazing as ever from the series regulars, but the new ones (esp Joseph Gordon Levitt) has proved his mettle yet again. Not much for Tom Hardy to do, but he's put in AMAZING amounts of effort to get in shape for the role...
Bat Gadgets are more modern and add much more credibility and awe to the story, especially the Bat and the leg crunching medical thingy...
OVERALL? I love Batman, I love Nolan, I loved Batman Begins, I prayed Dark Knight, but TDKR isn't quite the same league as the rest. It's a very very good entertainer (especially if you see it with a gang of people who can keep passing comments). It's the Hollywood movie made for the public and made for big money. Yes, in my opinion, Nolan has reaped the best anyone can from a hungry audience, but hasn't really proved his mettle as a filmmaker (not that he has to anymore after Dark Knight and Inception).. Just saying, "I'M NOT DISAPPOINTED!!" but I honestly am not gonna be praying this movie like the previous ones.

- Too much chatter as Miranda tells the story of her life to Batman before pressing the trigger, helping Gordon disable the trigger.
- Fistfights is what thugs with guns do when they meet 3000 policemen?? Oh, why is that? And why doesn't Bane shoot the Batman? Why doesn't Batman use his batarangs to stun Bane? :|
- It doesn't seem like a big deal to disable the trigger. Gordon did it quite easily and it should have been done without batman, given that Fox and Gordon were in contact already.
- Simply too easy for "Robin" to find out that Bruce is batman. "He had it in his eyes"
- Never explains why batman gave the bike to catwoman and not to robin. Clearly she can't be trusted. But in any case, why didn't he make arrangements for people to escape through the open tunnel?
- The ice turns hard enough when Gordon is walking on it! He and his people don't fall in.. let alone Batman appearing from the middle of the frozen river, making sure he left a trail of oil to have a bat light up the bridge
- Omnipresent is Batman whenever he appears. He always seems to be at the right place at the right time. I see a tinge of Ramaraj in him!! :O
- Invisible is Batman ALONE as he slips into Gotham without triggering the bomb after escaping the Hell on Earth (presumably not inside the city). To add salt to the wound, he even manages to shave and come :| Well, if he can enter, why can't some counter-terrorist teams enter too and make merry?
- Talkative are the thugs of Blackgate and Bane himself who always make it a point to not to kill people when they get a chance to. Let it be Fox, Robin or the Batman himself. They let the hero come and save the day. Vijaykant-ish.
- Conviniently, all the cops are stuck inside the tunnels and the citizens of Gotham can never stand up, can they? :| Who was manning the traffic lights and the emergency services when the cops went inside? "Only a dozen" policemen as Gordon says??
- Hidden has been the sewer city for so long. Likely? I'd say "no".
- MEDICAL MIRACLLLL is what we call that punch that puts Wayne's vertebrae back in place. Please bring that guy to Puttur Maavu Kattu areas.
- The Russian doctor suddenly becomes fluent in English towards the end of Wayne's stay at the Hell on Earth. Maybe Wayne taught him some English? Oh but, the doctor also failed to mention that the child was a girl and that Bane was rescued by Ra's Al Ghul.
- A flying plane crashes down, miles away from where its wings fell, with bullet holes and everything. Why was this never looked into, why was the doctor assumed to be dead?

I do agree the tate and bane's plot kind of gets lost in the middle but then if you remember in the batman begins ra's al ghul talks about using a slow poison to destroy Gotham, "Economics" which would have surely taken anywhere around 10 years at the least(but apparantely gotham survived that too:P). And then, Bane and Tate just take it to 5 months...Not a lot of time compared to that...
The Next Blow:

I did it'...Give them a break..
They are going to die in a blast, wont hurt to brag about their master plan;)
*Fistfights: Guns kill the fun, if I am not being so bold...Bane literally breaks batman in their first meet and Batman just wants to break him back..:D
*Even though they were in contact, I am guessing Fox did not have access to the tech required...since he required the emp generator from 'the bat'
*The joker found out who the bat was in 'dark knight' so I think it was kind of ok when 'robin' found that out too...(correct me if i am wrong)
*Well trusting her with the batpod did turn out to be useful in the end u know..This was shown in Dark knight as well...He trusts in people and they dont disappoint him(The final scene in dark knight with the ferries)..
*Well you believe it when he can switch off cameras at the press of a button but you dont think he might have a friggin gadget for this too...;) Its already a 2h 45min movie...i guess he rightly skipped these details...
*Well he's a hero...not always present though..its not that he saves every single soul in the city:D
*Well I do know a thing or two bout the couunter terrorist teams in the
world, and they dont just march in to a city which has a neutron bomb rigged to blow at the press of a button...they send in recon units...those were the cia people...and if they could enter why cant bruce??:)
*Well as said earlier, some villains just like to brag...even the joker did it(with dent in dark knight..but tat was surely a cut above the rest)...i am not comparing joker to these street goons but there is quite a striking

*No one came out of their houses in the fear of the bomb. So I guess traffic lights were not required....you would have seen that the streets have been empty all the time...as for the supplies being sent to the police stuck
underground, I guess a few of them are more than enough to do that..
*Well as Ra's Al Ghul pointed out in the Dark knight, They have penetrated every level of administration in the city...all the cops are bribed save a few...so not a big deal to keep it under wraps..since evn the batman wasn't
helping them for the past eight years:P:D
*Well If you had a puttur kattu done on you, you might know that there is nothing wrong there...That is the crude form of the Modern Day
'Traction'...It is possible but a tad more painful:P
*What if (am just exaggerating here..pardon me if I am wrong), the doctor chose not to speak since he was in a prison(controlled by bane) and when he saw that bruce was the ray of hope, that he was the one who could defeat bane...he just opted to tell him then...as for not telling that the child was a girl...what if he didn't know she would turn out to be bad..he just thought the girl had vanished for ever..
*Well if you are flying at above 20,000 feet at the speeds of a plane, just those speeds could dislodge the wings at the start of the crash...so its not much of a surprise that the wings are found somewhere else...ya it did seem a
bit doubtful though..well I guess we need to cut him some slack on this one...
Well these were just my humble views about your review of 'The Dark Knight Rises'..Please do correct me if I am wrong..This is just a humble opinion from a hardcore Nolan cum Batman fan who just loved the movie..;)

The Dark Knight Rises is more of a thematic and an emotional film than a logical one ( try to watch without having inception in mind ) It tries to work on the characters and bring the trilogy to an end rather than work as an individual story. I do agree there are a few flaws logically, but am okay with them cos i think its stupid to analyse the logical aspects in such a scrutinizing manner when the movie is trying to tell you something else. Take time and read this long essay to get what i mean.
