“Batman?” called Barbara on her phone as she walked with Nygma to her car. “Dick is down. And I’ve reported it to the department. They should take it on from here. I’m sorry!” She got no reply from Bruce.

She started to drive to the place Nygma asked to be taken.

“Derek Powers...” He started.

“More riddles?” she asked in a tone of disdain.

       Chapter 7 - Revelations

Barbara opened her eyes and turned around. She was lying on something wooden. She couldn’t figure out where she was and was trying to remember what had happened last. She got up and stepped down and the floor was very cold and felt like rock. She could hardly see anything because her vision was blurred. She sat back on the wooden thing she had been lying down on. She had no clue where she was. And the last thing she remembered was getting into the Bat-mobile with Batman and Robin.

“Dick!” she thought, “Dick was Robin!”

She wondered if she was in the bat cave. She thought it was very much a possibility. But why would Batman and Robin drug her? Maybe they wanted to keep the bat cave’s location a secret. They could have just blindfolded her.

       Chapter 6 - Vigilante

“Powers is attending the play on Christmas eve” said Batman through the Bat-phone.

“’The Three Ghosts’ play on Gotham Theatre?” asked Barbara, “but Friday is the day when the Riddler’s next...” and she turned silent for a while. She hoped Riddler wouldn’t make this crime-trail public. So far, only 3 people knew about this; The Riddler himself, Barbara and Batman. And it was 4 if HARDAC was also counted. But if he targeted Powers and decided to take him out during the play, the whole thing would burst open and become public. The last thing Barbara wanted was for the reporters and the press to be on her back and looking into it.

She then continued, “But Powers is a big fish. Even for Riddler. I doubt he has enough to take out a man like Powers.”

       Chapter 5 - Batman and Bruce Wayne 

Barbara looked in front of her and there it was, HARDAC. Not quite the way she remembered it though. It was much smaller now. But she wasn’t surprised. Computers had come a long way, as they usually do. HARDAC was just the size of her personal computer.

“You may be startled by so many things right now.” Spoke the computer, “My very existence would be a start. Well, let’s say my friend Mr. Nygma was kind enough to give me a second life. Well, it wasn’t without returns that he wanted me to do this.”

“Wait, why are you telling me all this?” she asked.

“Because he told me you would come here, searching for me. Because this was a part of the deal he offered me in exchange for life, if I may even call mine a ‘life’.” It said.

“A part of it?” she asked.

This is a collection of lingo that has become popular in circles around me and has stuck in my mind. These are the funniest, weirdest and my most favourite terms (in alphabetical order):

Ajak -

Funny as it sounds, Ajak is probably the most innovative way that I’ve heard it. If your hear one of my friends in Chennai say it, I’m sure you’d be able to immediately grasp what it refers to! If you have no clue as to what it means, “When unsure, call him or her an Ajak!”
